We really want to avoid using too many plugins but some of them have become a studio favorites and are included in all of our projects by default. You should have all the plugins installed by default in our starting package but for references these are the ones that all projects should have at least activated.

All the plugins we use must play along with automatic updates and have solid support and development track record. Simple functions should be written in functions (snippets) without a plugin to ensure compability and reliance on weak plugins. Our partner WP-Engine also flags bad plugins and we monitor these changes for Clients managing their own site plugins / sites that are hosted within our hosting plans.
