Running the Site

Import the template within local, and click on Start Site in the upper right hand corner. You can also enable a Live Link to share with other devs and designers involved in the project.

You can also pull and push sites from Wp-Engine, which is already integrated in Local (ask for API access). When pushing changes to a live site, avoid pushing database as these could override content updates.

The npm run watch command will continue running in your terminal and watch all relevant CSS and JavaScript files for changes. Webpack will automatically recompile your assets when it detects a change to one of these files.

When moving to production, running npm run production will compile and minify all your js and css assets.

Within the project folder, navigate to the theme folder. This can usually be found in project > app > public > wp-content > themes > client. Open this folder in your code editor of choice.
